About Bell Art:
Bell Art founder, Meryl Bell was an artist inspired by the Australian Bush. Meryl loved capturing Australian native flora in a still-life style (using oils and techniques similar to those employed by 17th century Dutch floral artists) to showcase to the world.
A labour of love, each of Meryl's major paintings would take many months, or even years, to complete. At times, she would use a single-hair paintbrush to enable her to capture the exquisitely fine detail of her subjects.
It was the sale of one card of Meryl's work that sparked the business more than 30 years ago. There are now over 200 stunning artworks in the Bell Art range that appear across the exquisite range of aromatics, stationery and other gifts.
Sadly Meryl passed away in 2009 after a brave fight with leukaemia. Meryl's legacy is continued by her daughter Amanda and her team, who are all just as passionate about the beauty of Australian flora, and sharing this with the world.
