By the age of 40, you generally have life worked out…or at least you think you do. Most 40-year-olds I know have the house, kids, and pets. And to the rest who don’t – please know that I’m envious of your foot-loose-and-fancy-free lifestyle!

Generally by the age of 40, you have purchased most of the things you want and/or need.
This means that gift buying progressively gets harder from here on in. You’ll know you’ve arrived at this point when you start to encounter those annoying people who say they “don’t want anything” when you ask for gift suggestions (you know who you are!). But just because the gift buying bar has been lifted, doesn’t mean for a second you can’t rise to the challenge. Nope. You’ll see that challenge, and not only raise it – you’ll BLOW IT out of the darn water! Here’s how:

1. Start with the sentimental

If you want to give them the “warm and fuzzies” this is the gift! This Signature Frame is a beautiful keepsake for the birthday boy or girl, especially when personalised with well-wishes from family and friends.

The Best 30th Birthday Gifts

I celebrated my 30th birthday in New Zealand. Shortly before we embarked on our holiday to the wine regions of NZ I found out I was pregnant with my first child (yay!). So, no wine tasting for me (boo!). When we returned from New Zealand, the celebrations continued with a lovely dinner with friends at a restaurant in Melbourne, a short distance from the apartment we were living in at the time. After dinner, we walked home and I think I was tucked up in bed by 10pm – a far cry from my 21st! Suffice to say, life is constantly changing as we move through different seasons and chapters.

30 is a great age. By the age of 30 we’ve generally had more life experience with different jobs, partners, friends, and lived in or travelled to different places. Often people are feeling more settled, although not always, and that’s totally ok too. Career, kids, no kids, house, travel, and more – we put together a selection of our favourite 30th birthday gifts, which we hope your 30-year-old will love, no matter where they’re at in life!

The Best 21st Birthday Gifts

When I was a kid, I thought that 21 would be the age that I’d have everything worked out: my job, a car, a place of my own – even a killer wardrobe of power suits. Twenty plus years on, I’m still working it out! 😉 Jokes aside, I remember my 21st like it was yesterday…even though it wasn’t! My uni mates and I dressed up in our best sparkly tops and dancing pants and went to a posh Chinese for dinner (is there such a thing as a ‘posh’ Chinese?) and champagne (ok, house sparking wine), followed by dancing at the classy (tacky) nightclub in the big smoke – Cardiff, South Wales.

Whilst I didn’t have it all worked out, I had well and truly moved out of home and nearly finished my studies, ready to take on the world (or London at least). Finding a gift for a 21st can be tricky, as kids (sorry, adults) this age are often at different stages of life – somewhere between study, work, travel, or something else. Here’s the curation of our top ten 21st birthday gifts that will appeal to 21-year-olds with different lifestyles and interests.
