Leff Amsterdam Tube Watch S42

A tube and an extrusion ring were the inspiration behind Piet Hein Eek's Tube Watch. Extrusion moulding is a technique involving forcing aluminium, or paste, through a mould, and the extrusion profile gives the material its shape. Piet created a ring like this to form the design of the watch face.

This precisely cut ring was combined with high quality metals and an elegant link bracelet to create a refined watch with a tough, industrial edge.

• Lens: Sapphire glass
• Movement: Japanese Miyota 2035 - 3 hand
• Water resistance: 10ATM/100 metres
• Screw down crown with diamond cut teeth

• Spare links
• Instruction manual
• Two-year warranty

About LEFF Amsterdam:

LEFF Amsterdam are renowned for their beautiful, high quality clocks. The name ‘LEFFE’ is derived from the Dutch word ‘lef’, which originates from the Hebrew word for heart. This relates to the location of the LEFF studio, in the heart of Amsterdam. LEFF was founded by brothers Arno and Dennis Ruijzenaars and designer Erwin Termaat. The Dutch definition of ‘lef’ also relates to daring to do things others don’t, going against the grain and pushing boundaries – very appropriate to LEFF!

"We think clocks are amazing products; they are technical instruments and can be art pieces at the same time. But most of all, because nobody really needs a clock. This challenges us even more to create something beautiful that everyone wants to have," says Arno.

Mr Gift is a proud stockist of LEFF timepieces, which are also found in the finest stores and museum shops worldwide, such as the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Selfridges and Paul Smith in London, Le Bon Marché in Paris, Design Republic in Shanghai and La Rinascente in Milan.
